Businesses Left Frustrated By Multiple Flood Cleanups

WE GET A BREAK FROM THE RAIN SATURDAY. MORE STORMS IN COMING FOR SUNDAY. WE’LL TALK ABOUT THAT IN JUST A BIT.>THE AFTERNOON STORMS THIS WEEKEND BROUGHT A LOT OF RATE AND THAT MEANS FLOODING IN SOME AREAS. FOR SOME PEOPLE THAT MEANS DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN AND AGAIN. Reporter: WE ARE HERE IN HAYES ALONG MILL FLYNN ROAD WHERE IT INTERSECTS WITH GLASS RUN ROAD. THIS PLACE WAS VERY HEAVILY HIT BY THE STORM. YOU CAN SEE THIS IS A MUDDY, MURKY MESS. PEOPLE ARE DOING WHAT THEY CAN TO CLEAN UP. IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD TODAY COMPARED TO WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE YESTERDAY. Reporter: FOR JOHN PARRISH, IT IS ROUND TWO OF CLEARING MUD AND DEBRIS FROM MANSON INSULATION SERVICE. THE BOTTOM FLOOR OF HIS BUSINESS WAS CLEAN AFTER WEDNESDAY NIGHTS STORMS FLOODED IT. I COULD NOT EVEN SLEEP. WE HIRED SERVICEMASTER TO COME OUT HERE. THEY HAD TO PULL CREWS WORKING ALL DAY LONG. WE HAD THE WHOLE BUILDING INSIDE CLEANED UP. Reporter: THEN CAME THURSDAY’S STORM RINGING THREE FEET OF FLOODWATER BACK IN. IS A MESS. WE DEAL WITH THIS EVERY YEAR. EVERY TIME IT RAINS MY HEART GOES NUTS BECAUSE WE THINK IT MIGHT FLOOD. IT REALLY SETS US BACK WEEKS AT A TIME SOMETIMES. Reporter: NATALIE ORION WAS SET BACK WHEN THE STORM HIT AS WELL DRIVING HOME AND MADE A LEFT TURN. A WAVE CAME UP AND I GOT CAUGHT IN THE SWELL AND IT PICKED UP MY CAR AND THREW ME OVER THE BARRIER. I TRY TO REVERSE, ACCELERATE, DID ALL THAT AND IT DID NOT WORK. SO I JUST HUNG TIGHT. Reporter: FOR PARRISH HE IS PRETTY SICK OF DEALING WITH THIS ROUTINE FLOODING AND WOULD LOVE TO SELL BUT FEARS OTHERS WOULD NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THIS EITHER. WE WOULD LOVE TO RELOCATE BUT UNFORTUNATELY WHO
