Cali catches fire; our network goes to work.

California’s wildfires are driving nearly 200,000 people out of their homes. The Kincade fire in Sonoma County has burned more than 54,000 acres in Northern California, while the Tick fire in Southern California’s Santa Clarita prompted the evacuation of nearly 50,000 residents. To our V Teamers and customers impacted by these devastating wildfires, the message is clear – we are here for you. And part of that means doing everything we can to ensure our cell sites stay online throughout this disaster. And thanks to our investments in battery backups and generators, we are proud to report the wildfires have not impacted our network. But don’t take my word for it, here’s V Teamer Tom Murphy sharing his thoughts on working with customers and our network. The Verizon network, we didn’t miss a beat. The network worked flawlessly. It was perfect. And I really can’t say that our competitors can say the same thing. For our consumer and small business customers impacted by these wildfires, from now through November 3, Verizon is providing unlimited calling, texting and data to affected communities click the link below to see if your California community is included. If you’d like to help those out West, you can make a $10 donation to the American Red Cross. Texting REDCROSS to 90999. You can also search VtoV on VZWeb to see how you can help fellow V Teamers. Thank you in advance for anything that you can give, every little bit helps. If you missed it — we shared our 3Q earnings results last Friday. Hans and our leaders say it was an exceptional quarter, giving us positive momentum through the end of the year. This quarter’s Credo award went to veteran David Caruth for his work with our military customers and employees. I’ll keep doing what we’re doing, telling the story about what Verizon does to support the military. That we’re the number one military friendly two years running now. And we should be the third coming up shortly. Take some time and check out the replay. Link for you is on the web. Another great way for leaders to get a pulse of the business is the Pulse survey of course. V Teamers, a new Pulse survey is out, and Hans wants every employee to take the survey and give honest feedback. That’ll do it for us, have a great Tuesday. And until next time, you’re up to speed.
