Carp fishing at Vaal River, South Africa (Dec 2018) – The Riverhouse

– [Martin] Ok, so we’re at the Vaal River again, and we’re doing some carp fishing. And this time we’re at a place called The Riverhouse. So basically this is what your fishing area looks like, beautiful terraced lawns up to the house up there. Let’s quickly walk up the stairs. So up here’s the house, and you’ve got this very nice deck area where you can just sit down and basically watch your rods down at the river. That’s what the fishing area looks like from up here. And that’s it! Very, very nice. (ambient music) (reel screaming) – [Linky] What’s happening?! -Not sure what it is but it took off like a bat out of hell. Might be a barbel, might be a nice big carp for a change. – What did you catch it on? – I’m not sure. – Banlic? – Whatever you put on. – Banlic or bunspice. (wind noise and reel screaming) – This is gonna take a while. (alarm sounding) There goes Ed! (ambient music) – [Linky] What happened?! – (laughing) Look here. – Martin’s. Edwin’s Who caught the biggest one? – I was fighting the fish, it went over his line. We thought I had simply caught his line. But in the meantime another fish had actually taken it We were fighting… I was fighting two fish. – Awesome. – I hope it’s a carp and not a barbel. – [Martin] What?! – I hope it’s a carp and not a barbel. – What’s that? – CARP! – (laughing) (ambient music) – [Martin] Chiching – Ching.
