Cindy Brings Flood Threat

MUCH MORE AT 6:00 P.M. WITH SPORTS. ANNOUNCER: CINCINNATI’S CERTIFIED, MOST ACCURATE FORECAST. KEVIN: THE SKIES ARE ABOUT READY TO OPEN UP ON MOST OF US TONIGHT AS THE FIRST WAVE OF RAIN IS THE BEGINNING — BEGINNING TO APPROACH. THE GOOD NEWS, THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT THE RAIN WILL NOT BE TERRIBLY HEAVY. YOU CAN SEE THE LEADING EDGE OF THAT RAIN PUSHING INTO THE SOUTHERN PARTS OF BOONE, KENTON, AND CAMPBELL COUNTY. IT IS RAINING AND CRITTENDEN, WARSAW, DOWN TOWARDS CURRENT — CORINTH. THAT RAIN WILL REACH THE CINCINNATI METRO BY 7:00. AS YOU HEAD OUT FOR DINNER TIME PLANS, EXPECT WET CONDITIONS. IT WILL REMAIN VERY HUMID AS WELL AS IN THE MID-70’S. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE METRO AREA. DO NOT HOLD ON TO THE SPECIFICS OF NUMBERS IN EACH COMMUNITY. IT IS GIVING US A PICTURE OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN. WE HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR A SOLID ONE TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED TO SEE SOMEONE AND UP WITH MORE THAN THAT, POSSIBLY AS HIGH AS FOUR. IT IS CERTAINLY HONEST LOOKING SKIES. A VERY TROPICAL FEEL TO THE AREA. WE HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF A SOUTHERLY BREEZE AT THE MOMENT. TEMPERATURES AROUND THE AREA, NORTH OF THE OHIO RIVER YOU ARE STILL IN THE 80’S. TO THE SOUTH, THE RAIN HAS MOVED IN AND YOU CAN SEE DRY RIDGE AND DOWN TOWARDS RUN A FALLING BACK INTO THE 70’S. MOST OF US WILL FALL BACK INTO THE 70’S AS THE RAIN BEGINS. THE RAIN TONIGHT WILL NOT BE TERRIBLY HEAVY. THE GREATEST RISK FOR FLOODING WILL COME AFTER THE MORNING COMMUTE. THAT IS WHEN THE BULK OF OUR ONE TO THREE INCHES WILL FALL TOMORROW MORNING. BY TOMORROW EVENING, THAT RAIN WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF AS WE START TO DRY OUT. HERE COMES THAT MOISTURE WITH CINDY TONIGHT. THE CENTER OF THE STORM BACK AROUND SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA. HERE IS A LOOK AT FUTURECAST. DOING A PRETTY GOOD JOB. RAIN APPROACHING THE OHIO RIVER. RAIN SPREADS THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT. I DO NOT THINK FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE THERE WIL BE A LOT OF RAIN FALLING. IT WILL BE VERY DAMP. WATCH WHAT HAPPENS AS WE HEAD DEEPER INTO THE MORNING HOURS. SEE HOW THE RAIN BECOMES MUCH HEAVIER. THIS IS THE WINDOW WHERE THE RISK FOR FLOODING WILL BE GREATEST. I WISH I COULD SAY I CAN KEEP THE WEEKEND COMPLETELY DRY, BUT I’M GOING TO TRY IT OUT. 70 FOR A LOW TONIGHT. IT WILL BE BREEZY. TOMORROW, LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WITH MAYBE A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER. 71 AT 8:00 A.M.. WHILE IT WILL NOT BE A WASHOUT THIS WEEKEND, I DO KEEP STRAY SHOWERS IN THE FORECAST SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. IT WILL BE COLD FOR LATE JUNE. HIGHS WILL ONLY BE AS THE MID-70’S WITH MID— LOWS BE IN
