Cleanup Continues After Mudslides, Flooding

I’M KATHY WALSH, COVERING COLORADO FIRST. JUST INCREDIBLE, THANK YOU. CONTINUING OUR COVERAGE OF COLORADO NOW, WE HEAD TO MANITOU SPRINGS WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE BUSY CLEANING UP AFTER FLASH FLOODING YESTERDAY. THIS JOB IS GOING TO TAKE AWHILE, POSSIBLY ALL WEEK TO GET BACK ON TRACK. TAMMY LEONARD SHARED THIS VIDEO OF MUDDY WATER FLOWING INTO TOWN. A LOT OF BUSINESSES HAD THE WATER RUSH UP NEXT TO THEIR BUILDINGS, SO STORES LIKE PATSY’S CANDIES GOT OUT THE SHOVELS AND MOPS. WITH SO MANY PEOPLE IT’S GOING FAIRLY QUICK, BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT’S A PROCESS BECAUSE THERE’S SO MUCH TO DO. I DON’T THINK ANYBODY IS REALLY OPEN THIS MORNING EITHER BECAUSE WE’RE TRYING TO GET IT BACK. THE CITY HAS ENGINEERS OUT
