Flash flood warning issued for King Fire area

AS WAS MENTIONED, THE TROOPER WAS FIRED FROM HIS JOB LAST WEEK. GOING BACK TO FIRST ALERT WEATHER NOW. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING IN PLACE IN THE AREA NEAR THE KING FIRE. THIS WAS SOMETHING MORE THAN LIKELY WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. RAIN IS FALLING IN THAT AREA, WHICH IS A GOOD THING BECAUSE IT WILL HELP TO PUT OUT THE FIRE. IT DOES MEAN THIS WILL PREVENT THE FREE FLOW. LOOKING AT RAINFALL FROM A QUARTER OF AN INCH TO HALF AN INCH. THIS IS WHERE WE HAVE THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING THAT EXTENDS ALL THE WAY UP. THIS IS THE AREA WHERE THE KING FIRE HAS BEEN BURNING. THIS IS WHERE WE HAVE A FLASH FLOOD WARNING. THAT IS BECAUSE OF THE DEBRIS THAT COULD BE FLOWING OFF OF THIS TO HOLD — DOWN. THIS WILL GO DOWN THE AMERICAN RIVER. IF YOU ARE IN THAT AREA, ANYONE NEAR THAT AREA, BE AWARE OF THAT. THE CREEKS AND RIVERS AND STREAMS WILL BE RISING. MORE INFORMALLY IT WILL BE THE HILLSIDE AND THE AREA WHERE THE FIRE HAS BEEN. ALL OF THAT HAS BEEN FREE-FLOWING. IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF RUNOFF, AND WE’LL BE PULLING THE SOIL ALONG WITH IT. THAT IS THE BIG CONCERN AND THE REASON WE SEE THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING BEING PUT OUT IN THIS AREA.

  1. Whoa! Maybe you guys could bring up in a fire report a visual map of what the King Fire has destroyed and what the Angora fire damage was in Tahoe. It's looking like a good percentage has burned to the South West of Tahoe after both fires.
