Flash flooding concern for parts of KY, IN

DOCUMENTS. JOHN: A FLASH-FLOOD WARNING HAS
BEEN ISSUED FOR PORTIONS OF THIS
AREA, RIGHT IN THIS FLASHING
AREA. THIS IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7:00,
ABOUT ONE HOUR AND 42 MINUTES,
IT INCLUDES PORTLAND, DOWNTOWN
LOUISVILLE, INDIAN HILLS, SPRING
HEARST, DOWNTOWN JEFF, DOWNTOWN
NEW ALBANY ALSO UNDER THIS FLASH-FLOOD WARNING. THAT’S THE ONLY WARNING LOCALLY,
BUT THERE IS ANOTHER WAY OUT IN
SOUTHWEST INDIANA. THERE IS THE TOWER CAMERA VIEW
OF THE STATION, STILL COMING
DOWN PRETTY GOOD HERE. LET’S SWITCH TO JEFFERSONVILLE
AND RIGHT ALONG THE RIVER HEAVY
RAINS CONTINUE. SEVERAL RADAR VIEWS HERE. THIS IS A BAND OF RAIN THAT
STRETCHES FROM FLOYD AND
PORTIONS OF HARRISON COUNTY
RIGHT ALONG THE RIVER INTO
LOUISVILLE AND CLARK COUNTY, AND
IT WEAKENS AS IT HEADS TOWARDS OLDHAM COUNTY. THIS IS MOVING EASTWARD VERY
SLOWLY. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL DOWNPOURS
THAT ARE MOVING EAST TO WEST
OVER THE SAME AREA, IT IS CALLED
TRAINING, LIKE THE TRAIN CARS ON
A TRACK, KEEPS GOING OVER THE
SAME AREA AND THAT IS WHY WE ARE HAVING THESE ISSUES, HEAVY
AMOUNTS RIGHT NOW DOWNTOWN AND
AT OUR STUDIOS COME OVER ONE
INCH HERE SO FAR. THIS IS SHOWING SIGNS OF MAYBE
BUILDING BACK TO THE NORTH JUST
A LITTLE BIT, AND EVENTUALLY IT
WILL RAIN ITSELF OUT. GOING TO A WIDER VIEW, YOU CAN
SEE HOW MUCH OF THE AREA HAS NO
RAIN AT ALL. SOUTH OF LOUISVILLE, YOU HAVE TO
GO DOWN TO LEBANON OR
CAMPBELLSVILLE FOR ANY SHOWER
ACTIVITY. EVEN FARTHER NORTH, IT IS WIDELY
SCATTERED. THIS POPPED UP AT A BAD TIME,
THE PEAK OF RUSH HOUR, AND
PORTIONS OF 64 AND 70 WANT ARE
GETTING HEAVY DOWNPOURS. THERE WILL BE A FEW MORE THAT
POP UP AS THE EVENING GOES ON,
AND GRADUALLY THEY WILL DIMINISH
LATE THIS EVENING. LET’S GO WITH THE FUTURECAST
TOMORROW MORNING, ALL QUIET IN
THE MORNING. WAS THAT A RUMBLE OF THUNDER I
JUST HEARD? RICK: THAT’S IT. JOHN: THANK YOU FOR THAT UPDATE. EVERYBODY’S HELPING ME OUT HERE. SO IN THE MORNING WE MAY SEE A
FEW STRAY SHOWERS IN THE
DOWNPOUR, BUT MOST OF THE DAY
WILL BE DRY TOMORROW. THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL
BE FORMING DURING THE AFTERNOON
HOURS, HERE WE ARE AT 4:30 AND
IT IS PAST EDMUNDS BILL BUT NOT
TO LOUISVILLE YET. SO AT THIS POINT WE ARE LOOKING
AT 6:00 TOMORROW FOR POSSIBLE
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. WE ARE IN A SLIGHT RISK OF
SEVERE STORMS TOMORROW, DAMAGING
WINDS, HAIL AND AN ISOLATED
TORNADO POSSIBLE WITH THAT,
OTHERWISE WE ARE IN A SLIGHT
RISK AGAIN TOMORROW FOR ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOODING, AND
WE ARE IN THAT FLASH-FLOOD WATCH
UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING, JUST
UPDATED TO THURSDAY MORNING. EVENING DOWNPOURS COME TO AN
END, THE 6 — THE THE OVERNIGHT
LOW 69, 30 PERCENT SHOWER
CHANCES THE MORNING,
THUNDERSTORMS LATE AND COULD BE
HEAVY, 86 FOR THE HIGH TOMORROW. THE RAIN ENDS THURSDAY, 82. FRIDAY WE WILL SEEK TEMPERATURES
IN THE 80’S, THE FIRST DAY OF
SUMMER, AND IT IS GOING TO BE
DRY FRIDAY, NO RAIN FRIDAY. I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO YELL THAT
OUT A 40% CHANCE OF STORMS
SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY AND
TUESDAY WITH HIGHS IN
