Flood warnings issued for Ohio River in anticipation of weekend thaw

RIVER LEVELS COULD CREST IN THE NEXT 48 HOURS. WLWT NEWS EMILY WOOD IS LIVE IN COVINGTON ON RIVERSIDE, WITH A CLOSER LOOK AT THE RISING WATER. EMILY. THE CURRENT RIVER LEVEL IS JUST OVER 49 AND A HALF FEET, FLOOD LEVEL IS 52 FEET, AND BY SUNDAY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PREDICTS THE RIVER TO CREST TO 54 FEET. WE ARE IN COVINGTON, JUST BELOW THE BRIDGE. THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD IS ALSO KEEPING TRACK OF RIVER LEVELS AND HAS ALERTED ALL RIVER TRAFFIC TO WATCH OUT FOR SAFETY
