How to Install a CompleteFlash End Dam

Hi, I’m Steven Fechino, Engineering and Construction Manager for Mortar Net Solutions. Today I’m going to show you how to properly install an end dam. The end dams that Mortar Net sells are high quality PVC. We offer two sizes. We offer a six inch which comes in a left and a right
and we offer a universal which comes in four-inch universal that works on either side of your opening We also offer a thermoplastic polyolefin
tpo. TPO has been around the roofing industry for many many years and they’re
going to be around for many more to come. This is a unique product because it can
be heat welded or set in butyl. It’s compatible with all the materials that
we sell. Rubberized asphalt, copper laminate, thermoplastic polyolefin which is tpo, or
the PVC flashings. It’s very easy to install an end dam. Basically what you do is you set it on
your brick shelf. You want to make sure it doesn’t stick out past the face of your
masonry. As long as it’s flush you’re good to go. This one does not
require any trimming but it does require some adhesive. The sealant is very simply placed just like that and now all I do is set it in place. That’s all there is to it. I’m Steven Fechino. Thanks for watching Mortar Net TV.
