THIS IS A STORMTEAM 5 WEATHER ALERT. JUST UPDATING WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ARTHUR RIGHT NOW. IT IS 255 MILES SOUTH OF CHATHAM RIGHT NOW. WE HAVE SEEN HEAVY BANDS OF RAIN, ESPECIALLY THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF THE STATE. TWO INCHES OF RAIN IN A SHORT TIME. CONCERN ABOUT LIGHTNING AND THUNDER AS WELL. A LOT OF RAIN LIFTING NORTHWARD, BUT THIS IS WHERE WE HAVE SEEN THE HEAVIEST ACTIVITY. THE STORM WILL MAKE ITS CLOSEST TRACK LATER TONIGHT. ARTHUR WILL PASS NORTH OF NANTUCKET. WHEN WILL NOT BE A REAL CONCERN, BUT MOISTURE AHEAD HAS CAUSED A BIG ISSUE. IT LOOKS LIKE WE WILL SEE A HEALTHY 2-4 INCHES IN MANY LOCATIONS, ESPECIALLY THE EASTERN PART OF THE STATE. HOWEVER, THERE COULD BE ISOLATED AREAS THAT GET EVEN MORE THAN THAT. WE ARE KEEPING AN ION THIS AREA TO THE SOUTH. WE ALREADY HAVE FLOOD WARNINGS, WHICH ARE IN EFFECT UNTIL 3:15 AND 4:45. BE CAUTIOUS IF YOU ARE DRIVING IN BRISTOL AND PLYMOUTH.
