INDONESIA EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI (2018)

Very sad situation Indonesia The people thought it was over when the earthquake came, but then there was the tsunami Stay tuned This is the moment a tsunami hit the Indonesian city of Palu Triggered by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake that struck the island of Sulawesi on Friday September 28th, The 3 meter high waves swept through the tourist resort destroying dozens of buildings including shopping centers, malls, a mosque, hotels and hospitals Bridges were washed away and the main highway was cut by landslides scores of people were injured And many fatalities were confirmed But hundreds more are missing. The city had been preparing for a beach festival when the quake struck Many of the fatalities were found on the shoreline Others were trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings The nearby cities of Donggala and Mamuju you were also ravaged, but little information was available Due to damaged roads and disrupted Telecommunications Indonesia’s hit frequently by earthquakes and relief and rescue responders were quick to react The relief operation currently is being hampered By continued aftershocks and a major power outage that has cut Communications As of September 30th, over 800 fatalities have been reported As hospitals struggled to cope with the hundreds of injured and rescues scrambled to reach the stricken region Let us pray for the people of Indonesia Earthquake information, Earthquakes kill about 8,000 people every year The earth is covered in tectonic plates that slowly move around its surface And the edges of the faults are rough, sometimes getting stuck together This results in a build-up of energy as the plates continue to try to move Releasing energy in seismic wave that shakes the earth as it moved through it, a short wiggly line means a small earthquake And a long wiggly line with lots of peaks and troughs means a large earthquake Scientists have tried many different ways of predicting earthquakes But it is unlikely it will ever be possible Question for the day: Should you stay in a building during an earthquake for protection or get out of it? 1. Too many weather disaster that is happening in our planet and the sad part is after every calamities there's always a family who lost the lives of their love ones.Im praying and hoping that this weather disaster will stop and won't happen again.

  2. If you can make it out of the building… Get out into the open –away from any falling debris. If you are stuck in a structure… Step into a doorway for the security of the strength of the doorframe around you on all sides. (I believe those are the guidelines I have heard before.)

  3. Around 62% of the world's Muslims live in the Asia-Pacific region (from Turkey to Indonesia), with over 1 billion adherents. The largest Muslim population in a country is in Indonesia, a nation home to 12.7% of the world's Muslims, followed by Pakistan (11.0%), and India (10.9%).

Please believe! there's not much prayer protection for your nation that this tragedy happened. Pray to the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in Him. you will not lose anything if you believe. He is faithful to save you if you call out for his name "Jesus, save me."

p.s. i saw muslim people in my dream a day this happened. now i know why! i should have prayed for you.?

  4. Bobbie, I was in the middle of the earthquake that hit San Francisco in 1989… That is a very tough question… With no advance notice, you are stuck where you are basically… I took a geology course in college one time, and the professor described try to move is like walking on a water bed… The ground or surface is rolling like a wave, as that is what it is, a shock wave… I was in my 3rd floor apartment when it commenced… I was frozen holding on to the couch for support… I really couldn't move until the rocking was over… The worst part IMO is the aftermath… You will have no water for up to 2 weeks, or power, it depends on the severity of the quake… You will experience a fear that is paralyzing… I feel so sorry for those people.. With the Sunami on top of the quake it has to be devastating… I am thankful I am where I am… I think I have only felt tremors a couple of times here in Cebu… The last time was when the quake rocked Leyte… Thanks for the video…

  5. My brothers and sister …it's tmie to leave out bad habit and turn to Allah the creator..

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
"We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return."

  6. This is so devastating, these poor people. It will be so difficult to rebuild their cities. Hopefully other countries will band together to help.

  7. Ooh my God not again may God help this people and blessed the gone souls

  8. Two rehabilitate man shot to dead by firing squad… One is a pastor, the other one a painter…Pray for them, stop death sentence…

  9. Well i think the government is response able for this because the australian people helped them get a tsunami warning alarm in place but no work was done to keep this maintained so the alarm did not go of to warn the people
