STORMS WHERE THE RAIN
CAME DOWN IN SPURTS… DUMPING HARD THEN

HEAVY RAIN…IT WAS LIKE THAT MOST OF THE
DAY IT CAUSED FLASH
FLOODING ON CITY- AND-COUNTY STREETS
AND ACTUALLY LED TO A VERY FRIGHTENING
CLOSE CALL FOR O
DRIVER. “What we’re most
concerned about really is
about the flash flood
warning on the roadway
and slip outs and those
types of things.” AND THAT’S EXACTLY
WHAT HAPPENED. THE CREEK ON
BROOKWOOD DRIVE,
BEHIND DOMINICAN
HOPITAL IN SANTA CRUZ
FLOODED STRANDING
THIS CAR IN THREE FEET OF WATER. THE DRIVER SAFELY
ESCAPED. “Instead of going around
