ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, THIS IS THE CBS 13 NEWS AT 5. A RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT ACROSS A WIDE SECTION OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. HERE IS A LIVE PICTURE OF YOLO COUNTY FROM OUR WEST SACRAMENTO CAMERA. PG&E ARE WARNING OF POSSIBLE POWER SHUTOFFS. GOOD EVENING THANKS FOR JOINING US UP FOR THE CBS 13 NEWS AT 5. PG&E SAYS IT IS ALREADY SCHEDULING POTENTIAL POWER SHUTOFFS IN BUTTE, YUBA, AND PLUMAS COUNTY’S THEY COULD GO INTO EFFECT STARTING AT 10 P.M. TONIGHT. HERE IS A LIST OF THE COUNTIES UNDER THE RED FLAG WARNING. ERICA IS IN THE WEATHER CENTER WITH A LOOK AT THE CONDITIONS AHEAD OF US. Reporter: THE WAG THE RED FLAG WARNING STRETCHING UNTIL 5:00 TOMORROW MORNING SO THE NEXT 24 HOURS WERE LOOKING AT POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. WE ARE SEEING WINDS ANYWHERE BETWEEN 5-10 MILES PER HOUR. WE COULD SEE GUS KEYS IN THE 20s TO 25 MILES PER HOUR WITH RANGE. THAT IS SOMETHING WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR, A WIND NOT SO MUCH OF A FACTOR BUT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE STRONGER, DRY, NORTHERLY WINDS TO PICK UP A BIT AS WE HEAD INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. REALLY SUBSIDE AS WE HEAD INTO SUNDAY AFTERNOON SO, LOOKING AHEAD CLEAR AND BREEZY CONDITIONS, TEMPERATURES DROP INTO THE LOW TO MID 50s, LOTS OF SUNSHINE, BREEZY CONDITIONS AND THE REST OF YOUR WEEKEND. UNFORTUNATELY, WILDFIRES WE ALL KNOW, CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE. THE RED FLAG WARNING IS ISSUED FOR THIS WEEKEND THE IMPACTED AREAS INCLUDE PARTS OF THE WEST SIDE OF THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY INTO THE NORTHERN COASTAL RANGE AND EASTERN FOOTHILLS. DURING THIS PERIOD OF TIME THE IMPACTED AREAS ARE EASIER TO CATCH FIRE. SOME OF THE AREAS MAKES PREVIOUS WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MILES PER HOUR. EVEN WITH THE COVERAGE OF THE WARNING ON THE NEWS, SOME AREN’T TOO CONCERNED. WE DON’T HAVE ALL THE TREES AND VEGETATION GROWING LIKE CRAZY, THE OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN IS DIFFERENT BUT, TOWN ITSELF NOT THAT BAD.
