Residents warned of possible flash flooding near Lolo Peak burn scar

National Weather Service is warning of the potential for flash flooding tomorrow especially over the lolo peak burn scar the current NWS forecasts indicate we could see strong to severe thunderstorms that could bring very heavy rainfall during the late afternoon and early evening of course that’s not good for our flooding situation in Missoula County either search and rescue teams are continuing to check out structures that experienced flooding in the orchard homes area along the Clark Fork they say the river got to 11 feet this morning which places it in the moderate flood stage it’s expected to remain there for the rest of the week around 65 homes in Missoula County still under those modified evacuation orders
