Tsunami risk more severe, report

GNS Te Pu Ao has released a report
warning of what could happen if a quake hits our shores
causing a tsunami, they advise that you run
for the hills, and that’s that. They say that those who live
near the sea will be at risk even if the quake takes place
on foreign shores. No matter what, they cannot predict
when these disasters will hit. This is their first report
since the Thailand Tsunami in 2004, and it claims that
if a tsunami were to hit, Northland, Auckland and
the Bay of Plenty would be worse hit by the tsunami, and the effects
would reach the East Coast, Wellington and the South Island.
