 The UK has faced a deluge of rain this week. More than 1,200 homes have been evacuated in recent days, and the Government’s Flood Information Service has issued a number of flood warnings and alerts today  The Environment Agency is urging communities to remain vigilant to the risk of flooding over the weekend  Kate Marks, Flood Duty Manager at the Environment Agency, said: “Communities in northern England, northern and western parts of the Midlands should remain vigilant to the risk of flooding with further rainfall expected over the weekend  “Over 20,000 properties have been protected from flooding thanks to Environment Agency
