HEAVY RAINFALL COMING IN. CHECK OUT THE MAP. IT IS LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. WE HAVE WINTER ADVISORIES IN WITH LEMON VALLEY — IN WILLAMETTE VALLEY. THIS IS THE MOST PRESSING ISSUE. WE HAVE A FLASH FLOOD WARNING FROM I-84 EAST INTO HOOD RIVER COUNTY. THIS IS UNTIL 11:30 A.M. ON SUNDAY. WE HAVE A LOT OF BURN SCARES — SCARS FROM THE EAGLE CREEK FIRE. MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN. IF HITTING RIGHT OFF –THAT FRONT IS SITTING RIGHT OFF THE COAST WE HAVE WINDS TO TALK ABOUT AS WELL. PEAK WINDS IN THE VALLEY SO FAR. HEAVY RAIN FOR US TONIGHT. I EXPECT URBAN FLOODING ESPECIALLY IN THOSE BURN SCARS NEAR EAGLE CREEK. A HIGH WIND WARNING AND A WIND ADVISORY IN THE VALLEY. ALL THE DETAILS COMING UP IN A FEW MINUTES. ANNA: THAT COMBINATION OF RAIN AND WIND IS OMINOUS. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IS ALREADY REPORTING FOR SMALL LANDSLIDES IN THE EAGLE CREEK AREA RIGHT NOW. THIS IS A LIVE LOOK IN THE AREA NOW. RIGHT NOW, CREWS ARE WORKING TO CLEAR 4 SMALL SLIDES BETWEEN MILE POST 25 AND 35 IN I-84, WE’RE TOLD TRAFFIC ISN’T BEING AFFECTED, YET. JUST LAST NIGHT, EMERGENCY CREWS WENT DOOR-TO-DOOR WARNING PEOPLE OF LANDSLIDE DANGER FOLLOWING THE EAGLE CREEK FIRE. MULTNOMAH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEARCH AND RESCUE AND CITIZEN PATROL WILL GO DOOR-TO-DOOR IN THE WARRENDALE, DODSON, LATOURELL AND BRIDAL VEIL COMMUNITIES WITH INFORMATION TO HELP THEM DETERMINE WHEN AND IF THEY SHOULD LEAVE THEIR HOMES.
